>>I’m so grateful for Mati Rose’s "Grateful Friday" artwork.  It gives me a huge smile.
>>How cool is this?  Let’s all move to England.
>>Join Michel Thomas’s Flickr groups and participate in something fascinating and beautiful.

>>Katrina Heals needs your stories – send ‘em in!

>>Gratitude
Another night up late, waiting to get sleepy.  I am actually beginning to relish these peaceful times with the living room all to myself, knowing my love is slumbering peacefully upstairs.  It turns out my 3:00am insomnia earlier this week was a huge blessing – it was during this time that I discovered my domain name registration had expired (oops), so I was able to renew it immediately.  Had I not been wide awake in the middle of the night, I might not have realized what had happened for quite some time.  So I’m thankful for the insomnia I’ve had this week.  I’m thankful I’ve had it tonight too, because a lot of much needed work was done.  Other treasures on this week’s Gratitude List:

>>A successful dentist appointment with no problems.  (I’m a tad phobic.)
>>A wonderful morning and afternoon with two of my best girlfriends, Tanya & Heidi.
>>Meeting Martini for the first time.
>>A beautiful drive to LA today.
>>Having 1/2 cord of wood delivered to our house in Solvang.  The thought of another cozy season in front of our fireplace is simply heaven to me.
>>My dear friend Melissa, who never fails to be right by my side even though she’s on the other side of the country.
>>My camera.  I just got it this summer in Tokyo and am not yet 100% familiar with all of its features, but it is insanely fun to use.  Check out my macro shots.
>>This moment.  This tiny, quiet moment.

Hi Christine. Your comment on my blog inspired me to cruise through. You must have endless energy! Makes me realize that there are so many more things I could be doing with my career. Endless possibilities! But for now, more fun with my new camera… :)

Thank you! I needed that…I was in a crappy place after the weekend and you made me think of the things I’m grateful for, which includes YOU…my lovely friend. Thank you from the other side of the country.

So much cool stuff in this post! I love Michel Thomas’ website/blog … I need to go back and find out about the groups you mentioned.
Went to your ‘pink project’ page and came across the pictures of your backyard in Solvang. Beautiful … no wonder you feel melancholy about selling your home!
Your macro shots are amazing … yes, please do tell us what kind of camera you use. I need one that does good closeups for my jewelry.
Finally, your painting is lovely … love how she is holding the ‘egg’ (?). So gently and reverently.

  10. Your painting is wonderful! It looks almost like a pastel drawing and has such a warm glow about it! It warms my soul! I can“t wait to see all of it!
