I too met Corrales many times ….and have shared memories ….he was great photographer ….however, at 58 years old his son took over his life …. Saul is a fantastic Family man ….I really don’t think that he thought his father was a great as he was ….. if you know what I mean ….but at the heart of Corrales was Norma ….life would not go on he always told me without Norma ….keith cardwell

I’m so glad you shared that story! wow! That is my biggest challenge too at the moment, squishing and squeezing and struggling my way to find a way to make a living doing what I love. p.s.I feel very sheepish leaving you a post when your care package has been sitting beside the front door with a gathering pile of envelopes for 2-3 weeks! I LOVE getting and sending mail-why oh why is going to the post office such an ordeal for me? It will be on the way soon and can’t wait to hear more about your move!

Oh how I sat mesmorized as I read your journal account of your meeting with this quiet and powerful artist.
When I accompanied my brother Greg last November on a memorable trip to Havana, I wanted to stay seated at the bottom of the staircase in his home,listening to his quiet memories, forever. Time should have stood still for at least hundreds of more stories.
I revisited this period of beauty through your words and I thank you for them. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched so many.

oh i am sitting here crying at the beauty of it all. thank you. how amazing to connect with a soul like his, let alone to connect days before his soul begins the next journey after this lifetime.
