I love Florence! Sean and I did the same thing when we were there, We recreated a photograph that he had taken on his last trip. It marks time so profoundly when you visit the same place, especially a place like Florence which already feels timeless and is filled with so much history. Ah, Nostalgia….we even have fond memories about our fight as we walked over the Ponte Vecchio only to make-up 5 minutes later over a bottle of wine and delicious pizza in one of the piazzas.

Oh so many wonderful memories…I just can’t believe so many years have past. Wouldn’t it be lovely to go back to Florence together. We could sit on the stairs of the Duomo and see if any American boys think we’re Swedes…oh the memories!

Both photos are so cute! You are a lucky lady and even more fortunate for realizing it I believe. I heart Melissa’s hip pack especially;) I had one of those when I went to Spain in highschool. Also, I’m really excited to read this bc Hugh & I are planning our honeymoon to Italy and hopefully Florence as well. I’ll have to get some tips. We don’t want to do it backpack style, but sadly not the Ritz either. Glad to have you back Christine!
