I am giving you this link even though i know it will probably not work. But still – just for the picture & the first 2 or 3 lines. Remember when it was FUN, this drawing thing? http://emmatree.blogspot.com/2009/01/i-choose-verb.html
Hooray for you and your “no audience” drawing! Breathe it in and enjoy! By the way, you’re no audience piece is beautiful! I love how the handwriting looks on the background color
I am having this feeling right now. I have recently had to shift and take on some non-artistic work to “pay the bills.” At first I was resistant and disagreeable and felt downhearted about this turn of events, but a wonderful thing happened…I felt free with my art again! This is priceless and lovely and makes my heart skip a beat. I guess I fell in love with art again. That pure art that you just do because it feels good and to see what happens. Love this piece!
“Today there is no audience”? Ahh… but there is, otherwise why post it on your blog where so many people can comment, where there is such a large audience?
this piece has driven a stake into my heart.
(perhaps a weird comment from someone who visits here often and doesn’t comment much…)
i have your beautiful book too which oven pokes me in uncomfortable ways, reminding me gently that sometimes, i am not being my most real self. that i too often put on a show for the audience rather than allowing myself to really be alive and creating just for the pleasure of doing so

Beautiful! Dear Christine, you should indulge yourself more often – you deserve it, you know!
Followed you to here from your Squam video on their blog. I absolutely love your handwriting!
Wow, I love this. It’s always so important to connect our soul into our work and let go of every other attachment that we think inspires our art.
It’s so awesome to create just for the sake of it!!!

It is great just to create for your self.
