Nicknames

September 30, 2010

[This photo was taken a few weeks ago and she is already so much bigger!]

Tilda is now 15 weeks old, and has already accumulated quite a list of nicknames around here:

Tilda Bear:  When she’s sleepy and super cute

Tilda Beast:  When she’s in a manic frenzy

Goober:  When she’s clumsy

Pomplemousse:  Courtesy of her Auntie Nita

Little Brown Terror:  Courtesy of her Uncle Justin

Little Brown Poo:  Ditto above

Little Pooper:  A catch-all, any-time-of-day nickname, which begs the question, at one point will we need to start calling her Big Pooper?

I smile when i read this because I don’t think any of my pets have the names they started with. They all have some sort of nickname. I think it’s because it’s so hard to tell what their personality will be like when they first come to live with you. Then over time, they just seem to develop other names. I cannot believe how big she is getting!

    kia =
    Kia Maria Sophia Loren
    Reechie or neechie
    Lunchbox
Girl (which makes me laugh so hard for some reason)
THE DOG (when she’s attacking someone: Jeremy, grab the dog!!!!!!)
real woobie (as in every night to jeremy: i am going to cuddle with my fur woobie (soft furry blanket) and real woobie (soft furry dog)

Not sure the last time I just called her KIA.
    :)

Great photo! And I’m particularly fond of the Tilda Bear nickname.

We’ve got a slew of nicknames for our kitties, in particular Solomon. I love how nicknames emerge out of nowhere. One day they don’t exist, the next day the new nickname is tumbling out of my mouth like it had been said forever.

Love all the nicknames! I have a bunch for Allie based on her actions and my mood…fuzzy butt is my favorite though :) I cannot wait to meet Tilda Bear…a little worried about meeting Tilda Beast though!

she’s perfect! my girldog’s nickname is “noodle” … when i first got her, she would go completely slack when I tried to pick her up – like a noodle. so now she’s either called Nikki Noodle, or just plain Noodle. even by her vet!

Love me some Tilda! I love her eyes! She is so cute, reminds me of my “Kohl” when he was a baby, now 9 yo and still a devil!
