That's pretty funny. But better that than INSIDE your dog. My gloriously gluttonous beast once burrowed her head into a huge bag of cat food and ate until she physcially couldn't. Of course, I didn't discover this until the next day--long after I was awoken at 2 a.m. by her laboured breath, rushed her to the 24-hour animal hospital (an hour away), had x-rays taken and was shown visual proof of her stomach hugely distorted by a startling amount of undigested, UNCHEWED cat kibble. Fortunately, she started barfing some of it up while at the vet, but her insatiable thirst was causing her to drink tons of water which was further compacting and bloating the food and causing further pain. To hydrate her, the vet injected water sub-cutaneously, between layers of her skin. Despite my fear and stress (they said air pockets could have caused her stomach to twist, which could have killed her), I burst into laughter when they brought her out. She literally had humps--huge ones, like a camel, busting out along her back and neck. I wish I'd gotten a picture, for they disappeared as the water was slowly absorbed (though, years later, her skin remains slack).
So, half a huge bag of cat food, one virtually sleepless night, $600 and one bulgy-stomached, hump-backed, burpy, flatulent, groaning, barfing dog later, all was right again.
You got off easy this time!
