Freshman year of college I read EVERYTHING Alice Walker ever wrote and produced a huge paper/project on it that passed as all the English credits I would ever need at the University level. That movie inspired me years before people knew what it was or even coined the phrase "to be inspired". I've called people Shug for years as a result of that book/movie and hello!
