[gallery columns="1"] At this exact moment I am on a plane headed to Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan. My dear friend Heidi - who has been just about everywhere, including Egypt, Tonga and Turkey, has always wanted to go but never managed to make her way there during any of her world travels. We decided to go many months ago, and then this summer we inspired my friend Gloria to throw caution to the wind and come with us.
I have been to Tokyo twice before and am looking forward to sharing some of my favorite parts of the city with two amazing women. After a few days in Tokyo we will visit Nikko, Hakone and Kyoto all within the space of ten days, which is actually eight after time lost traveling back and forth from the states. This trip wraps up a busy travel period for me, and as much as I am a vagabond I am also looking forward to my return at the end of the month when I have a pretty clear calendar in front of me until 2008. I have more posts scheduled while I am gone, and I'll be back to share my adventures in October.
