Head over to CreateMixedMedia for a new series of bi-monthly interviews. Christine is the curator of extraordinary stories of artistic and humanitarian inspiration taking place all over the world, from Morocco and Turkey to Uganda and India.

Christine was a regular contributor to Gypsy Girl’s Guide, with monthly stories from more than two decades of travel adventures that have taken her all over the world.

The Wish Studio launched in 2009, and Christine was a regular contributor for the next two years, with monthly essays and afternoon e-courses especially for Wish Studio. Christine’s 2011 theme for Wish Studio was On Writing.

The 100 Books Project began in 2009 and continued through 2011.  During that time, books were left by Christine or Book Fairy volunteers on all seven continents, covering the United States, Canada, Mexico, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, The Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, Hungary, France, Germany, Namibia, Uganda, Kenya, Jordan, Turkey, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Brazil, Iceland & Antarctica.

Each of the 100 books for this project was wrapped in a brown paper bag with the words “This is a gift for you.  Yes, YOU” written on the front.  Books were left all over the planet for whoever happened to stumble upon them – they were placed on benches, nestled in trees and tucked inside bicycle baskets.  A note inside explained, “My name is Christine and this is my creation – you are holding a dream made real.  I have received many gifts along the journey of bringing this book to life, and as an expression of my gratitude, I am sending 100 copies of my book out into the world…” Christine’s email address was included, inviting anyone who found a book to contact her and let her know where it was discovered.

The 100 Books Project was featured in Uppercase magazine and Somerset Studio, and a potential book about the project is in the works.  See the 100 Books Project Gallery here and read all the 100 Books Journal Entries here.

Keeping in line with her mission to inspire others, Christine has supported a variety of philanthropic endeavors. In-kind donations have been made to the Santa Barbara Hospice, Meet the Music, and The Dream Foundation. She has also contributed to Wrap Up Africa, the Seva Foundation, the Susan G. Komen 3-Day, Direct Relief International, the Clinton Foundation, and many others.

Christine has been a contributor to a lovely array of online courses and projects:  Kate Swoboda interviewed her for Courageous Beginnings and she is featured in do what you love: the e-course, the I Am Enough Collaborative and is on the roster for Jamie Ridler’s Sparkles. 2012 kicks off with 21 Secrets, where Christine is on the teaching roster for a year-long series of art journaling prompts.

Visit Christine’s custom Amazon Bookshop for dozens of inspiring titles on subjects that range from Zen Buddhist philosophy to quirky creative experiments.

Christine is an Artist, Writer, and Explorer whose passion for travel has taken her all over the U.S. and Europe, as well as Jordan, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Argentina, Mexico, and Cuba.  A camera and journal go with her everywhere, recording all the details of every adventure.  Click here to enjoy her Travel Photography Galleries.

Christine was involved with Squam Art Workshops (SAW) when it began in 2008. She played many roles in support of SAW’s mission to create a safe, nurturing environment for uninhibited artistic exploration, including student, teacher, and behind-the-scenes volunteer.  Visit the SAW website to learn more about their Spring and Fall Sessions.

Sparkletopia was a website devoted to daily morsels of inspiration for the entire year of 2008.  With categories as varied as Architecture, Creative Spaces, Dance, Fashion, Giving Back, Photography and Spirituality, Sparkletopia’s mission was to offer tools and tidbits to inspire, encourage, uplift and inform.
